Niranga’s Journey: Teaching Psychiatry-Informed Personalised Yoga & Mindfulness

Niranga’s journey into yoga started with a story of small joint pain, where she wanted to find support that would help find balance in life. This was her introduction to Hot Yoga.
Her journey led her to study with many mentors, embracing diverse styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin. Each training became a chapter in her story, imbuing her teaching with the wisdom of ancient traditions, the nurturing power of breathwork, and mindful movements that connect body and spirit.
As a psychiatrist, Niranga brings a unique and holistic perspective to her practice. At the heart of her teaching philosophy lies a commitment to inclusivity, recognising that every individual carries their own story.
As a Buddhist, yoga became a deeply personal exploration, rooted in years of practice that transcended mere physicality.
She creates individualised experiences that welcome students at all levels, ensuring each session speaks to your unique needs and abilities. Her background in Buddhism and mindfulness shapes her approach, emphasising the importance of the connection between body and breath, encouraging participants to honour their limits while safely exploring their potential.
Niranga believes that as we delve deeper into ourselves, we unveil parts of our being waiting to be cherished. Her classes combine movement, mindfulness, and a sprinkle of joy, thoughtfully crafted to resonate with the unique energies of her students. It is this philosophy that lays the foundation for every session at Nirmaladaya Studio, nurturing a spirit of community, strength, and serenity.
